Before coming to cellulite massage, let’s see what is cellulite first? Cellulite is the bulges formed on body parts like thighs, stomach and buttock due to excessive fat deposition. Lifestyle plays a vital role in forming this health disorder. Do you know the treatments for cellulite? At present, there are several remedial measures available for answering this question. Massaging, use of skin creams and surgery are some of the treatments prescribed for curing cellulite.

What is Cellulite Massaging?

Cellulite massaging is one of the best recommended treatments to reduce cellulite. It soothes away the lumps without inducing any health risks on person. According to the severity of problem, treatment duration can vary from one person to another. Immediate result is one of the main advantages of doing cellulite massaging. Deep tissues massage, best known as entomology removes unhealthy white blood cells from body safely and naturally.

How Cellulite Massaging is Done?

In most cases, cellulite massaging is done with the help of an electric machine to press the skin. Some of the tools used for doing massaging include lights, rollers and suction cups to puff up the skin. To obtain satisfactory result, people are advised to practice cellulite massaging in conjunction with diet and regular exercises.

Before doing massaging, moisturizing lotions are applied to cellulite affected area. It reduces friction and allows your hand to glide on with ease. Now start massaging from the lower part to the upper part of cellulite area. While doing massaging, it is advised to apply light strokes using your fingers. Continue massaging in circular motion and pull skin slightly away from the body in all directions. After massaging for a specific interval of time, finish it off by applying some strokes using fingers.

Tips to Attain Good Result

In order to obtain satisfactory result, people are advised to do cellulite massage regularly for at least five minutes per day. Most of the cellulite massaging clinics use tools like rollers and balls for more stimulation. For nourishing skin cells, it is advised to apply a combination of herbal oils and moisturizing lotion before massaging. It improves skin’s appearance and stimulates fat cells to break down. Rosemary oil, peppermint oil and lavender oil are some of the widely used herbal oils for doing cellulite massage treatment. It stimulates skin cells and eliminates excessive accumulation of fat in body.

Benefits of Cellulite Massage

Improving blood circulation is one of the main benefits of doing cellulite massage. It softens fatty areas and trims body naturally. Regular massaging of affected area is found to be very beneficial to drain the accumulated fluids in body cells. It breaks down fat deposits and flushes out excessive water present in that area. Detoxification is another main health benefit of doing a thorough cellulite massage. Fatty lumps that cause cellulite are found to be formed due to the accumulation of body toxins. Doing regular cellulite massage flushes out toxins accumulated between cells and prevents the formation of fatty lumps on skin surface. On the whole, you can recommend cellulite massage as the most effective and natural way to prevent the orange peel effect.

There’s a wide range of equipment you can use to take your workout to the next level.

1. Weights For The Ankles

Ankle weights are must have accessories and can be bought for about $15 a pair. These types of weights are perfect for people who want to tone their lower bodies. When you want to provide some resistance to leg exercises, ankle weights are the only method available that allows free range of motion. People who like to run, jog or walk a lot would benefit from ankle weights because they can be worn for very long periods of time. This means that you can go for a very long walk or run and burn extra calories because of the weights on your ankles.

2. Lightweight Dumbbells

Lightweight dumbbells are one of the top workout accessories to get. Women should look for 3, 5, and 8 lb weights. While men should find 10, 15, and 25 lb weights for greater muscle building. Dumbbells are a must for people who want to do upper and lower body workouts. Free weights give you the most flexibility in your workouts, allowing you to perform almost any exercise. Best of all, you can buy dumbbells for well under $20.

3. Workout Gloves

Workout gloves are a must have if you want to train with weights, regardless if you are lifting heavy or light weights. Gloves can be bought for under $20 and they are a must have because they protect the hands from friction. Sometimes people can develop calluses because they do not wear gloves. You can get gloves that are made from various materials. This is good because it makes it very easy to find the perfect pair of gloves.

4. Shaker Bottle

A shaker bottle is a must have workout accessory. Shake bottles are useful because they allow you to mix your weight loss shakes, protein shakes, fibre, or recovery drinks. You can also carry around your workout drinks wherever you go. Whether you are at work, the gym, or on the road, you can bring your protein shake or recovery drink with you. Go for the BPA free plastic shaker bottles with a wire ball for easy mixing.

5. Wrist Wraps

Wrist wraps are an accessory that you must have if you lift weights. Wrist wraps keep your wrists straight when working out. They allow you to hold your form while bench pressing lots of weight. Wrists wraps can easily be purchased for about $10 and they should be worn every single time you lift. Anybody who is serious about weight lifting should get their hands on a pair of wrist wraps. Whether you wear them to support a previously injured wrist, or just to help you hold proper form while doing push ups, wrist wraps are an inexpensive way to help your workout.

You have lots of choices when it comes to inexpensive workout accessories. No matter which type of exercise you like to do you can find a piece of equipment to help you work smarter for less.

If you haven’t heard of facial exercises by now, you probably will soon. It’s the latest trend making the rounds on the net and infomercials. What’s it all about? The term is actually pretty self-explanatory – it involves exercising parts of your face in order to improve the look of your skin. Some people believe it can help to lose weight in the face area while others think it’s useful for slowing down premature ageing. The premise is based on the fact that building muscles in other areas of the body achieves the same effects.

The thought of being able to exercise the face while losing weight and improving appearance sounds great to a lot of people. But is it too good to be true? We’ve all seen those fast weight loss and beauty schemes that turn out to be scams. They prey on people who are looking for fast answers and don’t want to put in the effort for long-term results. Sadly, facial exercises might be another example of this.

Trimming the Face – one of the best ways to lose weight is to combine cardiovascular exercise with muscle building. So what happens when you build the muscles around your face? According to people who promote facial exercises, they say you can make your face look thinner. By moving your face and providing resistance with your fingers, you’re supposed to be able to build up your muscles just like you were doing a set of push-ups or sit-ups.

Getting Rid of Wrinkles – according to followers of facial exercises, when you build up muscles it will help to keep the skin on top taught and tight. This is vital when dealing with wrinkles and premature ageing, and some people even claim it’s a natural way to replace the need for Botox. That’s a pretty big claim and it would revolutionize the cosmetic industry if it was true.

The Main Problem – the biggest problem with the concept of facial exercises is that your face doesn’t have the same muscles as the rest of your body. It’s not like you have biceps or triceps to work with. In fact, you don’t have much muscle in the area at all. It would be nice if you could bulk up your face and contour your appearance with guided workouts, but how many people have actually been successful with this? The only people who claim to get great results are the ones who are selling related books and videos trying to make money.

There are a few regular folks who claim that facial exercises have worked for them. But more often than not, they have convinced themselves that it’s worked. It’s more a case of wishful thinking than having scientific proof and real results. It’s a common phenomenon and most people have convinced themselves that a new diet has worked at some point – even when it hasn’t.

So now what? It certainly would be nice if facial exercises could do what they promised. But when you factor in common sense, you can’t help but conclude it’s all too good to be true. It’s not going to make your face thinner or cure other types of skin problems. If you think about it, if facial exercises actually worked, skincare as we know it would change dramatically. But as it stands, you won’t find health experts or dermatologists that will recommend spending any amount of time on trying to build up the muscles in your face.

I have experience working in Hospitals and Rest Homes and have come across with patients who are sick and ill with different types of diseases and discomforts. Being a nurse, my approach in treating patients depends on what the physician orders me to do which greatly involves administering medications for my ill patients. However, I believe that aside from medical intervention, a natural healing touch is another therapy which will greatly alleviates some signs and symptoms manifested by the patients.

Aromatherapy, is one of the natural healing art that will greatly help in calming and healing the mind from all distresses by its aromatic oils and stimulating herbs. Thus, I would greatly recommend this as an alternative or added therapy to my patients. First lets go down to history of this healing art. Aromatherapy actually originated in countries such as Greece, Rome, Egypt and Persia. People from this countries before uses different aromatic base oils mixed with fresh herbs that are usually stored in beautiful bottled container.

These oils can be used as antiseptic, linements, ointments , bath or massage oils. This oils gives out stimulating and refreshing aromas that calms and heals the senses. In this article, I will be sharing some practical aromatherapy application that will help you in providing comfort in illness and symptoms that you might experience. Anxiety is a difficult emotion to settle even with the help of tranquilizers and sedatives.

However, I think one of the best therapy that will assist you in calming down your anxiety would be Lavender, jasmine, bergamot and ylang-ylang oil. You can use this by adding about 4 drops of lavender oil, 2 drops of Jasmine and 4 drops of ylang ylang to your night time bath.

Try this and it will help you relax and will relieve you from feelings of depression. Insomnia is another disorder which causes a lot of distress to an individual especially if he or she has a lot of task to accomplish . If you want to have a good night sleep try 6 drops of Lavender or Rose oil in a vaporizer and it will lull you gently to sleep. For workaholics individuals which are stress with their jobs, you can try adding 3 drops of Clary Sage oil in a bowl of hot water or you can use a vaporizer for optimum distressing effect. Arthritis is another discomfort which is usually experienced as we age.

To soothe yourself from this joint killing disease, try adding 2 drops of Lavender, 2 drops of Rosemary and 3 drops of Marjoram in your bath. You can also make your own massage oil by combining 6 drops of Lavender, 4 drops of rosemary and 6 drops of marjoram oil. Use it while you massage areas that causes you pain and discomfort. For hypertensive patients, try having a hot bath with 8-10 drops of Lavender oil to help you relax and lower down your blood pressure. Finally, although aromatherapy oils are a adjunctive therapy pls. be aware if you are allergic to some of its properties . I also advise to seek your physicians advice before using it. Till next time!

First used as counterweights in measuring dry goods and grains in markets three centuries ago, then later on being used as a form of entertainment/competition, kettlebells have certainly had a varied life… leading, in more recent years, to kettlebell lifting evolving into a sport. Considered to be a ballistic type of exercise, kettlebell lifting was officially recognized as a weight lifting sport in Russia in 1985. In the past few years, however, it has turned into a powerful tool in many people’s fitness regimens, and a number of fitness experts have created kettlebell workouts to help people achieve their fitness goals. One great example being the kettleworx kettlebell workout.

A Workout For Men or Women?

Since a kettlebell workout has been classified as a ballistic type of workout, there have been a lot of misconceptions about its use. One such mistake is the thinking that kettlebells are for men only. Another fallacy is the notion that they are used only for muscle-building. All these are definitely myths. Yes, a kettlebell workout may require a lot of endurance as it combines both cardio and strength training but this does not mean that women can’t do these routines as well. Kettleworx kettlebell workouts are made for both men and women and with several workout routines available, there is surely a workout which will suit everyone’s needs. Also, ever since they gained popularity, a lot of kettlebells varieties have been available for sale on the market, coming in a variety of different colors, weights and sizes. There are kettlebells for professionals and there are beginner kettlebells, too meaning that there’s no excuse not to do kettlebell workouts, because everyone can tailor one according to their own specific needs.

Kettlebells and Injuries

As with every sport, especially one where a great range of repetitive motion is used, there are injuries which are associated with kettlebells. However, this is no cause for worry as these injuries can only be inflicted if the workout is improperly executed. That is why it is extremely important to know the proper techniques. Examples of injuries are damage to the wrist, elbow or forearm while trying to do the kettlebell snatch, swing and press. The back and the kneecaps can be injured as well.

To ensure that no one suffers from any harm, here are a few tips in doing a kettlebell workout:

The cardinal rule in every workout session is that one should always have warm-up exercises.

Always choose a kettlebell that is appropriate to your weight.

For beginners, it is always better to start with lighter kettlebells and move on to heavier ones only when the body has already adjusted to the routine.

Proper body posture must always be maintained.

Gradual changes must be applied in changing kettlebell routines so as not to cause strain to one’s body.

Lastly and most importantly, if one feels any pain while doing the routine, it must be stopped immediately.

Getting instructional workouts such as the kettleworx kettlebell workout would also be a great help as it shows the proper way to do the workout. A kettlebell workout is dynamic and it offers a lot of health benefits but to avoid injuries, caution must be observed before and after every workout session to make sure that you’re getting the most out of the hard work that you’re putting in.

With the combination of obesity and bad eating habits plaguing our country today, more and more men are trying to find out how to lose their man boobs. Now, I’m sure that the term “man boobs” makes you smirk a little or maybe even laugh out loud, but for those us who have suffer with feminine-looking breasts, they can be a real problem. While there is no miracle cure for losing your man boobs, I plan to outline the three main steps that it will take for you to get your body under control.

Get Your Diet Right!

This is so much easier said than done, right? NO!! It’s actually a lot easier than you would think, but it is going to take some will-power and determination at first to get the ball rolling. A good diet will keep your body feeling “full,” yet will have you actually taking in less calories than you are expending, resulting in a net loss of overall weight. Your new eating habits should allow you maintain (or even gain) energy, making it easier to do more things than you could before you started doing this.

The key to your diet should be moderation. Plan to try and have the following proportions of foods in your diet: roughly 60% carbs, 25% protein, and under 15% fats. If you are like me, you will undoubtedly get annoyed at first with having to monitor the portions of food that you eat, but you will see results with a week or two of doing it. After a while, especially after you being steps 2 & 3 from this list, your body will crave the foods you need and you will forget all about the foods that are not good for you.

If you are accustomed to eating large portions, maybe even getting seconds and thirds at every meal, it is important that you eat a lot of vegetables and foods that are higher in fibre. Eating salads will help you out a lot as vegetables contain almost no calories at all. That means you can eat all the lettuce you’d like and get full without wrecking your diet! Also be careful how you cook your foods. Stay away from high fat oils and frying pans. Try to grill more of your food, or bake it in the over, and you’ll soon find a new wonderful taste that you’re craving!

Exercise

You knew this was coming. You worked hard for all of these years to build up your man boobs, so you are going to have to work hard to lose your man boobs as well. I’m sorry, but that’s just the way it is. Find things that can be fun, though. If you have kids or nieces and nephews, take them to the park and play with them for an hour. Walk around the block and try to get to know your neighbors. Check out sites like Craigs List or MeetUp.com and see if there are any local activities you can take part in. You want to start off by spending at least 30 minutes a day, 3-5 days per week, up and about and being active. As you get used to the activity, try and up your time until you’re averaging an hour per day every day of the week.

Strength Training

The final part of this 3 step process to lose your man boobs is strength training. First thing’s first: don’t do things that will stress your pecs when you first get started. This is going to do nothing more than increase your chest size as you’re building the muscle faster than you can burn the fact, and you are going to get discouraged. Try doing whole body activities, such as squats, rowing, or bench presses. These activities will tone your entire body and melt the fat away more quickly. Once your man boobs have shrunk down to an acceptable level, then you can focus on your pecs and build them back up in a muscular way.

Like I started off saying, losing your man boobs isn’t rocket science. If you follow my three simple steps, you will learn how to lose your man boobs in no time flat! If you want to learn more about how to lose your man boobs, come by and visit me!

Soy has faced a lot of controversy, but it continues to be the main constituent in a lot of health food diets. Is soy for you? That is a personal decision, and one that requires you to look at both sides of the soy issue. If you are considering adding soy to your diet, then you should evaluate these pros and cons first.

Pros:

Soy is nutritious. Simply put, soy contains a lot of things that are just plain good for your body. These nutrients include isoflavones, high quality proteins, and essential fatty acids. Additionally, soy doesn’t have any cholesterol, and it is extremely low in fat.

Estrogen-like effects. Soy’s high concentration of isoflavones like diadzene and genestein, which are phytoestrogens (estrogen-like substances found in plants), act as low-strength estrogens in the human body. Estrogen in a hormone that is responsible for supporting a number of important bodily functions, including bone strength and the defense against breast cancer. Therefore, phytoestrogens mimic a lot of the benefits of estrogen.

Cholesterol lowering. Soy naturally has scientifically-proven cholesterol lowering effects, and this is one of the primary reasons you may want to consider adding it to your diet.

Soy is inexpensive. When you compare to soy to other health and nutrition-related trends – like organic foods, for example – soy is relatively inexpensive. You can actually add soy to your diet without seeing much difference at all in your grocery expenditure. Soy can be purchased in many forms, including edamame beans, miso paste, tempeh, and tofu.

Cons:

Not enough evidence. Many of soy’s beneficial effects are as of yet unproven vis formal scientific studies. Additionally, some studies seem to support the belief that too much soy may be harmful to your health in some ways. Because of conflicting scientific study data, it is just too soon to know definitely whether or not adding soy to your diet is more helpful or more harmful.

Intake requirements. It is said that in order to reap the benefits of adding soy to your diet, you must take in at least 25 grams of soy a day. For people who are not used to eating soy and soy products, that is a lot of soy – roughly four whole servings of whole soy. As a matter of fact, studies show that starting on the full recommended amount of soy too quickly can cause some digestive issues, so it is important that you add soy to your diet the right way. You’ll need to consult with a professional to determine how much you really need and how you should best step up your intake.

Deciding to add soy to your diet is not as simple a task as you might have previously thought. As you can see, there is actually a lot to think about when it comes to whether or not you should be taking in the recommended 25 grams a day of soy. Consider these pros and cons when making your choice and be sure to consult your nutritionist, candida doctor, or physician before making any drastic diet changes.

If you had ever experienced a pinched nerve on your neck or even on another part of your body, then you know just how excruciating it can be. A neck pinched nerve can be more than just painful; it can be incapacitating too, sometimes making it hard for you to do regular motions for the neck, shoulder, and arm area. The pinched nerve on my neck actually lasted a total of five months, and yet my doctor informed me that I was one of the lucky ones, for he had encountered patients who bore theirs for years. Unfortunately for us, science hasn’t discovered a ready cure for pinched nerves yet, but you can ease the symptoms. The tips below all helped me bear the pain, numbness and weakness, allowing me to move around normally and do my job well.

Eight hours of sleep each night – I used to clock in just around five hours of sleep each night, but when my doctor recommended I get as much rest as I could, I cut back on the overtime and made sure to get no less than seven hours of sleep, eight if I could manage it. We often cut back on sleep to do more work, with the result being a less healthy body. Only time can really heal a pinched nerve, and if you focus on getting enough rest, you can speed up the recovery.

Daily neck, shoulder and arm exercises – pinched nerve neck shoulder treatment usually requires exercise that won’t make the injury worse but rather strengthen the muscles and tendons surrounding the nerve so that they can stop compressing it and therefore ease the problem. Doing head twists, neck bends, shoulder rotations and arm raises was sometimes painful, but I found that as long as I do the moves slowly and never overexert myself, I usually feel much better afterwards. Any sort of exercise will release endorphins in your body, which are the feel-good hormones that also work as natural painkillers, and which in this case can ease pinched nerve symptoms.

Ice packs and menthol patches for instant pain relief – believe it or not, taking pain reliever pills rarely give immediate effect, for it can take a while for your body to absorb and use the chemicals present in painkillers. I was wary of overdosing on Advil, so I turned to safer remedies instead which also proved more effective. A couple of ice cubes wrapped around a plastic bag or towel gave instant pain relief on the days my neck ached nonstop, while mentholated patches could be worn under my clothes and were quick to ease shoulder and arm weakness.

These tips all worked well for me, but since every pinched nerve case is different from another, you may want to ask your doctor first before trying them out right away. You may need different exercises or require serious treatment like physical therapy to ease your pinched nerve. But in most cases, enough rest, sufficient exercise, and natural pain relief remedies are safe to do, so hopefully the tips will work well for you.

As the baby-boomer population ages, one type of pain in particular has become especially prevalent for that generation – hip bursitis pain. If you have ever experienced pain from bursitis anywhere in your body, you know that it is very painful and can be very debilitating.

As someone who has experienced hip bursitis, I can tell you that it makes every step extremely painful. All of those normal, everyday things you do like going to the grocery store, taking out the trash, and even carrying laundry back and forth to the washing machine become terrible, painful chores. Fortunately, if you do have this annoying condition, there are some things you can do to help alleviate the pain and inflammation associated with it.

To understand why bursitis of the hip is so painful and so debilitating, you need to understand a little bit about the anatomy of the hip joint. Each hip joint (every joint in your body, actually) has a small sac filled with fluid inside it that helps to cushion and protect the joint from the bones, ligaments and tendons that are constantly moving around the joint area. This sac is called a bursa. When the bursa has become irritated and/or inflamed, the result is pain around the area. Many times, a vicious cycle of irritation and swelling of the bursa will cause even more pain and irritation as the joint is used, and the cycle keeps repeating until sometimes a person will have so much pain in the area that standing and walking are not even possible without extreme pain.

What is it that actually causes hip bursitis pain to start in the first place? According to Fitblogr, things like being overweight (which causes excess pressure on the hip joint), repetitive movements like those of an active runner or athlete, or even an injury to the hip can begin the cycle of hip bursitis. Permanent anatomical changes can occur with any of the above mentioned causes. This in turn may cause the cavity where the hip bursa is attached to be too small, and irritation can result even after losing weight, ceasing a demanding physical activity, or an injury is healed.

So the question remains: How do you get rid of, or at least minimize, hip bursitis pain? The best thing I have found for easing the pain of this annoying condition is to begin a regimen of hip bursitis exercises. Here are two of the the best ones I have found so far:

Hip Bursitis Exercise #1:

Lie flat on the floor or bed. Bend your knees, keeping your feet flat.

Cross your legs, placing your right foot over your left knee.

Grasp your right ankle and gently pull it toward you, keeping your back on the floor or bed. Hold for 10 – 15 seconds. Do not pull so hard that you feel pain. Be gentle!

Return your right leg to the floor or bed.

Repeat with the opposite leg.

Hip Bursitis Exercise #2:

Turn on to your side; slowly bring your knees up towards your chest, until your torso and thighs are at right angles to each other.

Slowly lift your upper leg. Keep your ankles together.

Repeat this lift 5 – 10 times.

Roll on to your other side and repeat entire motion 5 – 10 times for that leg.

These exercises may seem simple and too easy to do any good, but if they are done properly and on a daily basis, I am sure you will begin to notice some improvement with the pain you are currently feeling from bursitis of the hip. Of course, if any pain becomes worse or does not subside after several weeks, check with your physician before continuing these exercises.

Hip bursitis can be painful and very annoying. Fortunately, as you can see, there are some things you can do to help alleviate some of the pain. Losing weight, cutting back on strenuous workouts, taking it easy after an injury, and doing some simple exercises are all things that can help you to eventually ease your pain, and sometimes get rid of it altogether.

Anxiety per se is already awful enough for a person to experience, but for it to be accompanied by physical changes like losing weight, how horrible can that get? Yes, it may sound outstanding to people who are desperate to shed unwanted pounds, but that’s not the healthy way to go about it.

Anxiety is a state when a person is in fear of an impending doom. This is when a person is in a negative position in which he or she could no longer function efficiently. The person is too disturbed, preoccupied and problematic that his focus and attention is set only on the stimuli that cause the anxiety. All the troublesome symptoms of anxiety could surface, such as palpitations, hyperventilation, numbness and tingling sensations, and chest tightness, among many others.

It is evident that people under stress due to whatever reason is observed to be trimming down if not a lot but at least a few pounds. They look thinner and paler than usual. However, stress and anxiety, although commonly believed to have the same definition, still differ at some angle. Considerable stress occurs at a short period of time, and it can certainly mess a person’s life but only in a given duration. Anxiety is a little bit different from that. To be worried or concerned is a sustained feeling. It is steady and constant. It is caused by so many things that can become too much to handle at some point. It also lasts for a much longer period of time. It can be considered as a silent and slow killer. It eats you up alive and spits you back out once it’s done with you.

Anxiety meddles with ones thoughts, emotions and behavior. This affects the inner and the outer self. It is characterized by the physiological and psychological state of a person. Once the physiological needs are jeopardized, then it is expected from a person to exhibit physical changes. Case in point: a person in panic anxiety.

Panic anxiety is the fourth and worst level of anxiety wherein the person is no longer attached to reality. The anxiety has already taken over the person. In this state, the individual could already reach a point in which he or she can’t do even the most basic daily functions. The person is not able to take pleasure even in the things that he or she used to enjoy. Eventually, if this habit continues, then it is expected for someone to look terrible physically. To be more specific, a person could look haggardly slimmer, and it’s not the ideal weight loss we’re all rooting for.

For anxiety and weight loss to be coexisting in one person is a major pain in the neck. The key here is to put a stop to the root cause of everything, and that is in anxiety. Be patient, face your fears, engage in physical activities, or if needed, seek help from medical experts. Once you have defeated the master, which is anxiety, you will no longer have a tough time getting rid of the minions.
